Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri

Digital Imaging Special Interest Group meeting at the 32-inch telescope.  We will have hands-on demonstrations of web cam imaging , one-shot color imaging with a Meade DSI and scientific imaging using V and Ic filters.

Driving directions:  Take US 61north from the mile 208 interchange on I-70 approximately 9 miles.  Look for Highway U to the west.  Take Highway U approximately 0.8 miles to second road on left (south)(Country Lane Trail).  Go about 0.3 mile to 1030 Country Trail Lane.

We will present an information table at Borders Bookstore in Mid-Rivers Mall from 6:00 pm to Mid-night.  This will be in conjunction with Borders’ big promotion of the the latest Harry Potter book which goes on sale at Mid-night.  They expect 3-4,000 people so it will be a great chance to spread the workd about ASEM.

6:00 pm Pot luck supper and telescope clinic – help with new telescopes!. Bring a dish, vegetable, salad, or dessert to share .

Regular meeting at 7:00 pm. Announcements of upcoming events/activities, short videos, occasional program, question and answers.

If clear, observing outside the Interpretive Center or at the ASEM observatory in Moscow Mills.

Star gazing in Broemmelsiek Park.  Bring your telescope and share with the public.  Dusk to mid-night.
