Telescope clinic beginning at 6:00 pm at the Weldon Spring Interpretive Center.
Pot Luck Supper at 6:00 pm. We will supply corned beef and cabbage, so bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share and your drinks. We have a lot of fun at these suppers.
Regular meeting starts at 7:00 pm:
- Wayne Clark will describe Active Galactic Nuclei and what he, as an amateur, is able to contribute
- Jim Roe will distribute the free astronomy software disks and will review one of the programs thereon, an Observing Log for Messier Objects
- We have purchased a set of DVD astronomy lectures which cover the whole gamut of astronomy. The individual lectures (about 45 min each) will be available for lending to members (another good reason to join!).
- We will have the 25×100 binoculars and the new, easy to use mount there for display and possible use outside if the skies cooperate. Some lucky, deserving member will be able to borrow them for the next month.
