Download Our BenefitBar
Introducing one of the neatest communication tools for keeping in touch with our supporters - the BenefitBar. What is the BenefitBar, you ask?
![]() |
| The BenefitBar is a tool you add to your browser (either Firefox (preferred) or Internet Explorer). It gives new functionality to your web browsing. |

| As illustrated here, the logo on the left is a link to the ASEM home page, the logo on the right is a link to the most recent entries on the ASEM site. VERY NEAT FEATURE! |

| The logo on the left is a drop down menu for selected (by me) links into the body of the ASEM web site. The logo on the right is a link to the Alliance for Astronomy home page. |

| The feature on the left is a Yahoo search box. Use it to search for items on the Internet just as you always have. BUT, clicking on the sponsored links will earn $$$ for ASEM (no cost to you). Very Neat Feature!
The feature on the right is a scrolling message that will deliver timely messages to you, right on your browser window - meeting reminders, special events, etc. |
How to get the ASEM BenefitBar
Download it here Fill out the email and zip code boxes and click the "Accept" box. Then choose your browser below (Internet Explorer or Firefox). Either or both of these browsers may require you to give permission to install the BenefitBar (I hope your browser is configured to do so). Trust me on this one, it’s safe.
Firefox will install the BenefitBar as an extension which will be available after you shut down Firefox and re-start it. Internet Explorer will advise you to shut down IE before you install BenefitBar but should be available upon restarting IE.
If you don’t see the tool bar, click on View->Toolbars and select the ASEM toolbar (it should have a check mark next to it). Also, you have to be connected to the Internet for the tool bar to show up (it gets its information from the web).
Please try this out. It will strengthen our Society by helping to keep everyone in touch (and maybe earn us a few $$).
